The third baseman, Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez to quit playing poker in illegal clubs. The star slugger had attended games at an underground club with professional card player Phil Hellmuth. A-Rod's card playing might be "dangerous and harmful to his image."
After this news the company of Sports Interaction Poker – submitted a preliminary offer to Rodriguez back in October when he was first seen at illegal poker rooms. The offer included a $100,000 large complimentary account in return for exclusive play at the online poker site. Rodriguez’ agent received an updated offer late this morning.
